Gira acquires STETTLER Kunststofftechnik

Plastics technology expanded. Investment initiated to expand production at STETTLER. German factory now internationally competitive.

As part of a succession plan, Gira was able to acquire the well-known Burgwindheim, Bavaria company STETTLER Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG on 01.01.2007. The company founded in 1981 by Lothar Stettler had achieved a very good position in the market with the production of precision plastic parts for the automotive and electronics industries. With 75 employees, the family-owned operation was appreciated by its demanding customers for its expertise, quality and reliability, values that fit perfectly with Gira’s corporate philosophy. The company would continue operating as STETTLER Kunststofftechnik GmbH & Co. KG. Gira also opted for continuity in the company’s management by naming long-time managers Klaus Romeis and Matthias Seelmann as managing directors and Petra Kaiser as authorized signatory. Gira Managing Director Alfred A. Bulitz represented the interests of Gira’s shareholders on STETTLER’s supervisory board, together with Lothar Stettler for the first two years after the purchase.
